Responding to Strong Patient Demand, Delta Hospital Clinics Add New Providers
Responding to strong patient demand for medical providers in Delta County, Delta County Memorial Hospital Clinics are adding new physicians in the next few months.
“Delta County Memorial Hospital and Clinics are actively recruiting for new physicians to continue to meet the demand for providers in Delta County,” said CEO Jason Cleckler. “We have several new providers that we are negotiating with to come on board in 2016 and beyond, in addition to these three physicians who are coming to Delta in the next few months.”
Dr. Marie Matthews is a board certified family medicine physician, who also offers obstetrics services. She starts with DCMH Family Medicine in early June, where she will split her time between the Delta and Hotchkiss Clinics. She comes from a family practice in Gunnison, Colo., where she practiced for the past five years. Dr. Matthews also was a contract physician with Gunnison Valley Hospital for the past two years, and was a hospital Emergency Department employee for five years. She is fluent in medical Spanish. She served her internship and residency in family medicine at the North Colorado Family Medicine, Greeley, CO. and earned her M.D. degree with Albany Medical College, Albany, NY.

Dr. Michelle K., Reed, (Doctor of Osteopathy, D.O.) is board certified in family medicine with an added qualification in geriatric medicine, is moving from the Colorado Springs area to Delta July 5th. Dr. Reed will practice at Internal Medicine Associates as an additional provider. She is from the Western Slope attending high school in Glenwood Springs. She has practiced with Centura Health-Penrose Primary Care, and Strode Family Practice, in Colorado Springs during the past few years, and has a total of 16 years of professional experience as a family physician. Dr. Reed has a fellowship in geriatric medicine and completed her residency in family practice with the Colorado Springs Osteopathic Foundation. She earned her D.O. from Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA. Internal Medicine Associates is accepting new patient applications on behalf of Dr. Reed during June.
Dr. Henry Lewis III is a board certified obstetrics and gynecological physician starting with Premier Women’s Healthcare of Delta in late June. He has 31 years as an OB-GYN primarily from private practice in North Carolina. Dr. Lewis came to DCMH recently as a contract physician and expressed an interest in making a permanent move to this area.
Dr. Brian J. Eades is a board certified obstetrics and gynecological (OB-GYN) physician, and is joining Premier Women’s Healthcare of Delta August first. He brings 26 years of professional expertise in OB-GYN practice from Amarillo, TX. For nine years he was a clinical OB/GYN instructor at Texas Tech Health Science Center in Amarillo, TX.
