Clinic Receptionist / MA - Pulmonary Clinic
DCMH Pulmonary Clinic is looking for a new member of the team. Who's primary responsibilities would include those of clinic receptionist. Preferred candidate will also have MA certification.
Answering and routing incoming calls and pleasantly greeting patients, visitors and family members.
Day to day scheduling of: appointments, daily log of physicians' in/out schedules.
Accurately gathering: patient's demographic and insurance information. Records incoming payments and distributes to billing, etc.
Assists with special projects as necessary.
Reminds client of appointments day and time 2- 3 days before appointment.
Orders and maintains supplies, and arranges for equipment maintenance.
Is organized and professional and maintains HIPAA compliance.
Interviews patients, measures vital signs, such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight and height, and records information on patient's charts.
Rooms patients, obtains clinical information such as medication list, patient concerns, questions and height and weight.
Administers injections and medications, dresses wounds and incisions.
Able to successfully perform blood draws.
Conducts specified testing or calls medical facility or department to schedule patients for tests.
At times, may act as receptionist, performs secretarial duties. (see above)
Comply with HIPAA and other federal, state and local regulations, as well as maintain highest degree of confidentiality in client and staff matters.
Required Education & Experience:
•High School graduate or equivalent required.
•Previous experience in the same or similar position preferred.
•BLS Certification Required
Preferred current Certification as a Medical Assistant
