Ultrasound Tech - Radiology
Delta County Memorial Hospital is looking for a Ultra-Sound Technologist to join our team with the Radiology Department located in Delta, Colorado.

Current opening is for Full- Time 36 hours / week

Position Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Radiologist, performs all required Ultrasound procedures. Performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment, with ingenuity and initiative to achieve films for diagnosis. Assume responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required.

•Transfers and transports patients as needed.
Positions patients for exams with respect to their comfort and optimal exam quality.
•Evaluates image quality on Ultrasound Units to determine if adjustments are necessary.
•Furnish necessary patient information to Radiologist.
•Uses technical expertise when doing special procedures.
•Assists in the training of Radiology students.
•Practices sterile techniques and Universal Precautions.
•Cleans room/equipment following each exam.
•Restocks linen and refills gel bottles when needed.
•Performs other related duties as required.

Required Education & Experience:

•High School graduate or equivalent required.
•Technologist registered (ARDMS)
•BLS certification required through the American Heart Association.
•One year clinical experience required
•Additional registry in vascular ultrasound desired
