Dr. Roz Rafanelli, MD Testimonial

May 31, 2013

Dear Friends,

It has been a great pleasure to be part of the Delta medical community for the past twenty five years. As you may have heard, I am transitioning careers. Starting in July, I will be working with Community Hospital and Grand Valley Primary Care in their Wellness Partnership with businesses in Grand Junction. It will be exciting to work in prevention, wellness, and health care advocacy while still doing outpatient family practice.

I appreciate the thoughtful care provided to my patients over the years -extra blankets in the ER, pitchers of tea "just so" and celebration desserts from Dietary; unhurried explanations for radiology procedures; common sense advice from Nutrition; prompt treatments and coaching from Respiratory; miracles from PT, OT , Wound Care and Cardiac & Pulmonary Rehab; gleaming rooms and cleansmelling halls from Housekeeping; careful and courteous blood draws from Lab; comfort control from Maintenance; reassuring smiles from our Volunteers, and of course ALL the extra efforts by our nurses, aides and ward clerks to make each patient feel special. I have been humbled and awed by the "brain power" and surgical skills of our medical staff, and I appreciate the camaraderie and easy rapport over the years. I am proud to have worked with such amazing professionals.

It has been a privilege to be on staff at Delta County Memorial Hospital. I have been spoiled by the Medical Staff Office, Medical Records, Discharge Planners, Coders, and Administration, and I thank them for putting up with me through the years. I leave with great memories, and I wish for continued success for our hospital and our community.

Sincerely,
Roz Rafanelli, MD
