DCMH CELEBRATES RADIOLOGIC TECHNOLOGIST WEEK IN NOVEMBER


Delta County Memorial Hospital Radiology Department is celebrating the vital work of Radiologic technologists and the important role medical imaging professionals play in patient care during National Radiologic Technologist Week in November.

The Delta hospital Radiology Department employs a total of 27 Radiologic technologists in several areas of imaging studies including: MRI, Mammography, Nuclear Medicine, X-Ray, Ultrasound, Bone Density, CT Scans and PET Scans

The American Society of Radiologic Technologists was founded in 1920 with a week's celebration to commemorate the discovery of the x-ray by Wilhelm Conrad Roentgen on November 8, 1895. This year's theme is "Many Views, One Vision." With over 140,000 members ASRT is the world's largest and oldest membership association for medical imaging technologists and radiation therapists, now headquartered in Albuquerque, NM.
