Medical Care Options Available to North Fork Families

The current medical care options for North Fork families, or anyone seeking medical care in Delta County include:

1. Internal Medicine Associates in Delta - There are two new providers starting in August that are accepting new patients - Board Certified Internal Medicine Physician Dr. Mark Huun, and Heather Ford, an Adult Geriatric Nurse Practitioner. In addition Angela Morris, Certified Family Nurse Practitioner - Advanced is also accepting new women patients. Phone number is 874-7668, located across from the hospital campus. 2. DCMH Family Medicine - Delta - Adam Zerr, Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (who was with the Hotchkiss Clinic) is accepting residents from the North Fork area. Family Medicine is also able to assist with vaccinations and sports physicals, DOT physicals or pre-employment physicals. Phone number is 874-5777. Located 555 Meeker St. in Delta.

3. Premier Women's Healthcare of Delta - Andrea Keller, DO, obstetrics and gynecology; Joyce McKenney, MD, gynecology. Phone number is 874-7930. Located at 236 Cottonwood St., Delta

4. DCMH Urgent Care in Delta - If there is an immediate medical need and there are no providers who area able to schedule an appointment, then DCMH Urgent Care is available 10:00am - 6:00 p.m. on weekdays, and on weekends from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Staffed by Certified Family Nurse Practitioners. This clinic is less expensive than a trip to the Emergency Department. It also offers a higher level of medical care than going to a physician's office, so it is more expensive than treatment from a physician in a medical clinic. Urgent Care offers pre-employment physicals and sports physicals for athletes getting ready to go back to school. Urgent Care is not for chronic conditions. Walk in appointments are available. Delta County Memorial Hospital is actively recruiting for additional family physicians and mid-level providers to help bridge the demand for medical care for all Delta County residents. DCMH Urgent Care will be adding a third Nurse Practitioner as well in the near future, and expanding hours of operation.
