Fluoroscopy is an imaging technique commonly used by physicians to obtain real-time moving images of internal structures. At DCMH, we have two types of fluoroscopies. We have a room in Radiology that we call the fluoro room which we can do exams that use barium such as Barium enemas, upper GI studies, Joint injections and more. The second type of fluoroscopy is used in surgery. Using a device called a C-arm, a surgeon can be used for the following:

Orthopedic surgery
Catheter insertion
Urological surgery
Implantation of pacemakers
