Nutrition in Health & Disease: The DCMH team of nutrition professionals offers one-on-one and group sessions to aid individuals who are working to manage their nutrition-related issues with health and disease.

Weight Management: We offer individual and group weight management sessions.

Nutrition and Cancer: As part of the integrative medicine team in our oncology unit, we offer counseling and assistance to cancer patients with special nutritional needs.

Diabetes Management: Diabetes is a manageable disease. With proper care and education, people with diabetes live healthy lives. Schedule an appointment to learn how to avoid the complications of this disease. We are continually expanding our services to meet this growing need in our community. Our Diabetes Support Group, ongoing for more than 20 years, meets at 2:30 p.m. on the second Monday of each month. The group is led by Dietitians and Diabetes Educators. Topics are generated by requests from the group. There is no charge for this program.

Home Health Consultations: Managing nutrition at home is important to maintaining good health. In collaboration with Delta Montrose Home Health, our team of nutrition professionals can provide nutritional assessment and care plans for patients enrolled in Delta Montrose Home Health that address a variety of nutrition-related issues, including (but not limited to) enteral nutrition support, congestive heart failure, and diabetes.

How to Arrange a Visit

Begin by asking your physician for a referral to a Registered Dietitian for Medical Nutrition Therapy. Our department will contact you to make an appointment once we receive the referral from your doctor. We are available Monday through Friday from 9 to 4. Special appointments may be arranged for other hours as needed.

Insurance and Billing

You should check your insurance policy to learn whether medical nutrition therapy or nutrition education is covered. For those without insurance, check with our registration clerks to see what types of payment programs are available to help with your bill.
